Canterbury Liturgical Music Course

12th - 17th February 2017

Course Fee £150 (£75 upon application, with £75 on or before 1st December 2016)

Our next choral course, directed by Alistair Dixon and based in Canterbury Cathedral, will focus on singing 5 Choral Evensongs on 13th -17th February in the cathedral. In addition to works by Vaughan Williams, Howells, Stanford and Dyson, the repertoire will include lesser-known pieces by Ley and Biebl.

The course fee includes all rehearsals and services, tea before Evensong and lunch on Friday. It also covers the cost of the music. The course fee does not include the cost of accommodation or other meals. A two-hour lunch break will allow participants time to eat locally. Canterbury Cathedral is situated centrally and is close to cafes, restaurants, shops and hotels.

Participants will assemble at 4.00 p.m. on Sunday 12th February for registration before the first rehearsal.

We regret that the course is unsuitable for people with reduced mobility, as the rehearsal area is accessed by very steep stairs.

A deposit of £75 is payable upon application, to be refunded in the event of the application being unsuccessful or the cancellation of the course. To apply for a place on the course, fill in the form here.

Students and young adults may apply for a bursary to attend this course (see application form).
